The Barrington Honor Ride and Run is a Ride 2 Recovery event offers something for the whole family…
How Barrington Honor Ride and Run got its start: When we originally started thinking of doing something in Barrington to honor and support wounded troops, we imagined something much smaller. Our team of volunteers was overwhelmed by the patriotic spirit in Barrington. The appetite to do something that recognizes the sacrifices and commitment of our fighting men and women gave birth to the Barrington Honor Ride and Run.
The first year of the Barrington Honor Ride and Run event in 2011 was a terrific success and it was such a pleasure to see people running, biking or cheering to show our warriors that people in this town have not forgotten them.
The Barrington Honor Ride and Run will be even better this year because people who want to prove their metal can both run and ride. This will be our first chance to sign up for the 5k and the 29.5 mile ride.
